A different side of Bali
Lake Buyan lies high in the Bedugul highlands, ringed by forest and often wrapped in morning mist. The air is crisp, the light is soft, and the water stays quiet for most of the day.
There is not a great deal to do here in the usual sense, and that is the point. Walking the grounds, watching weather move across the hills and listening to a landscape that is still mostly green is the rhythm of a stay.
Mist at dawn, glassy water by mid-morning, cloud back on the ridge by afternoon. The lake sets the schedule.
